PM Expands Social Media Presence

Production Machining has ramped up our social media presence, making better use of our Facebook and Twitter accounts to share important industry news and technical information.

Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn allow people to connect, communicate and share information with each other. These tools have continued to grow in popularity among both personal and professional relationships. That trend is no different in the precision machined parts industry, as more and more companies have turned to this idea for marketing and promotional communication.

Earlier this year, Pete Zelinski, senior editor with Modern Machine Shop, addressed some developments in social media and online marketing. He says while small manufacturers have become more aware of the importance of marketing, they have looked to redesign their websites to make them more useful and have turned to blogging and other social media tools to increase visibility. Read “Job Shops and Online Marketing, Version 2.0” for his tips on how to make better use of social media within your company. You can also visit our Knowledge Center for a more general overview of where social media fits into the manufacturing environment.

As we’ve seen other companies increase their use of social media, we at Production Machining have also begun to ramp up our own presence. We’ve recently begun making better use of our Facebook and Twitter accounts to share important industry news and technical information (along with fun notes about what we’re seeing). To keep up, “like” our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter. They’re quick and easy ways to stay on top of the latest news of the industry.
