Amada Miyachi America Inc., a manufacturer of resistance welding, laser welding, marking, cutting, and micromachining equipment and systems, has appointed Kurt A. Tolliver as vice president, sales. A 20-year veteran of Amada Miyachi America, Mr. Tolliver previously managed the company’s southern USA, Mexico, Central America and European sales networks. In his new role as vice president of sales he will oversee worldwide sales of all of Amada Miyachi America products, including resistance welding, laser welding, laser marking and micromachining, hermetic sealing, hot bar bonding and advanced manufacturing systems. Mr. Tolliver replaces James E. Malloy, who is retiring after serving as vice president of sales for 25 years.

“I am extremely excited to take over the head sales role at Amada Miyachi America and look forward to working with our experienced team to further promote the best material joining and systems in the industry,” says Mr. Tolliver. “After working with and observing sales legend Jim Malloy for the past 20 years, it is an honor to be selected to replace him.”

“Kurt’s outstanding record of success in creating effective sales organizations and driving sales growth makes him a tremendous asset as our new sales leader,” says David Fawcett, group CEO and president, Amada Miyachi America and Amada Miyachi Europe. “As we continue to develop innovative new products to meet the demands of modern industrial customers worldwide, Kurt will lead our global sales networks and provide the best possible support to customers around the world.”
