Excellerant and TriMech are partnering to give Excellerant’s Collaborative Manufacturing Platform wider distribution across the U.S. and Canada. Excellerant’s suite of data collection gathering, monitoring and reporting hardware and software tools are said to give manufacturers reliable shop connectivity solutions.

This partnership follows TriMech’s acquisition of the Mastercam businesses of Macdac Engineering in December 2021. Excellerant was owned by Macdac Engineering before it incorporated as its own entity after that transaction. Currently, TriMech has 37 locations across the U.S. and Canada.

“We are excited to start this new chapter as an independent company and expanding the reach of our brand and technologies with TriMech’s support,” says John Carpenter, Excellerant founder and president. “Our technology development expertise coupled with TriMech’s reputation for best-in-class engineering and technical service support will help ensure manufacturing clients across North America have access to the solutions they need to effectively manage their shop floor environment.”

Trimech provides engineering teams with 3D design and rapid prototyping solutions that are said to work hand-in-hand, from sketch to manufacturing. “After decades of evolutionary development, first starting with DNC solutions back in the 1990s, Excellerant has the hardware and the software knowledge base and a field-proven new collaborative platform that is robust, reliable and is gaining rapid adoption in shops across North America,” says Marcel Matte, TriMech’s CEO. “Manufacturers are learning the importance of reliable data and what it can do for their businesses. Further, the platform’s compliance with the DOD’s CMMC cybersecurity mandate will be welcomed by our clients in the aerospace sector.”
