The Automated Shop Conference (TASC) is a new event focused on the necessity of manufacturing automation for CNC job shops. Set for Oct. 10-11, 2023, in Novi, Michigan, this event is sponsored by Modern Machine Shop, Production Machining and Gardner Business Media.
With a program curated by the editors of Modern Machine Shop, organizers say TASC 2023 will feature a full curriculum of technical content, networking with the industry’s best and brightest, and facility tours led by the experts who run them.
TASC will cover a variety of topics, including multitasking and multiprocess machine tools; closed-loop systems; cobots, robots and peripheral equipment; digital simulation; chip handling equipment; done-in-one machining; automated inspection; robotic machine tending; unattended lights-out production; workholding for automated routines; and more.
The TASC Call for Papers is now open and accepting applications (title and abstracts for review) until May 31, 2023. The technical staff will review each proposal submitted to ensure the quality of educational content to conference attendees. Each review will be graded on relevance, technicality and educational value. Due to the nature of this conference, commercial pitches will not be considered.
TASC 2023 will provide key insights and practical guidance to shops of all sizes in need of automation solutions. From machine shop owners to managers and technical leaders, participants will be able to connect with the industry’s innovators across machine shops of all sizes. Speak with experts who are actively (or on the verge of) transitioning to lights-out machining and automating mid- to high-volume operations.
