MCA’s Executive Director Matt Gilmore signed an exclusive partnership agreement with the executive director of the German industrial cleaning association, FiT.
The new Manufacturing Cleaning Association had a successful first showing at a live event since its inception. Not only did the new cleaning association gain 11 new members at the 2021 Parts Cleaning Conference (PCC) held at the Precision Machining Technology Show in Cleveland back in August but Executive Director Matt Gilmore also signed an exclusive partnership agreement with the executive director of the German industrial cleaning association, FiT.
Gerhard Koblenzer, executive director of FiT and managing owner of LPW, has been graciously offering his assistance to help MCA prosper since MCA was established. Welcoming aid from this successful 17-year-old association, MCA is striving to use FiT as a model and adopt its ideas to benefit MCA members.

The cooperation agreement between the MCA and FiT enables both organizations to share resources, content and marketing opportunities. It is a great channel for the MCA to reach the European cleaning market and to tap into the expertise of the FiT membership.
Koblenzer joined Gilmore and MCA President Sherry Stepp for an MCA/FiT presentation at the conference where he explained the mission and goals of his association, broke down its structure and described its membership offerings. Afterward, Koblenzer and Gilmore signed the partnership agreement to make it official.
“It’s an exciting time for MCA,” Gilmore says. “While we are still a young organization, we are growing and building out our value to members.”
Besides learning about this new partnership, attendees at the PCC also took advantage of learning from an excellent lineup of speakers representing leading parts cleaning companies. Experts presented on new technologies and processes, and best practices for industrial cleaning. There was also a chance to network with colleagues at the happy hour and coffee/breakfast events. If you didn’t get the chance to join us this year, please make plans to attend the 2022 PCC at the International Manufacturing Technology Show being held Sept. 12-17 in Chicago, Illinois.
