Manufacturing community reconnects at IMTS 2022. After four years apart, the manufacturing community came together at IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show 2022 for a showstopping event Sept. 12-17 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The event reached a total registration of 86,307, including 11,715 students, and featured 1,212,806 million square feet of exhibit space representing 1,816 exhibitors and 1,603 booths. The North American visitor-to-exhibitor ratio increased by more than 10% compared to 2018’s record-breaking show, reaffirming the need to meet in person. Mazak’s Brian Papke Earns ASME/ME Leadership Award — Brian J. Papke, former chairman and now executive advisor to the Board of Mazak Corp., has received the M. Wolfram Acquires XMC Machine Analytics Platform — Wolfram Manufacturing, a developer and integrator of advanced machine tool technologies, has acquired the XMC machine communication and analytics platform to expand its suite of machine monitoring and production management software solutions. The acquisition is said to expand the company’s suite of communication and analytic platforms to provide robust, scalable product offerings for shops of any size.

C&M Precision Tech Earns ISO 13485 Medical Device Certification — C&M Precision Tech, a manufacturer of precision-engineered and manufactured components and assemblies, is now ISO 13485:2016-certified. This qualification demonstrates C&M’s ability to provide medical device manufacturers with precision parts and assemblies by meeting standards that go beyond the ISO 9001 requirements and other quality standards that most manufacturers meet.
