Machine tool manufacturer Emco celebrates its 75th anniversary this year while it says it stays focused on the future. According to the company, the foundation for further innovations is built upon Emco's wealth of experience. It makes sophisticated turning and milling centers which come in a wide range of designs, and training machines equipped with state-of-the-art control technology and different types of courseware. Women in Manufacturing Association Names New Board Chair —The Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Association has named Virginia Harn, a principal in CliftonLarsonAllen LLP’s (CLA) Minneapolis location, chairperson of its board of directors. CLA is the eighth largest accounting firm in the U.S. Her two-year term began April 1, 2022.

Ceratizit Moves U.S. Headquarters — Ceratizit USA has moved its official U.S. headquarters from Warren, Michigan, to the company’s Schaumburg, Illinois, facility. Ceratizit acquired the Schaumburg facility when it absorbed the Komet tooling brand name and product line under the Ceratizit Group umbrella. According to the company, the move will centralize its operations and enable it to better serve its customers.

Ingersoll Machine Tools Names New CEO — The Camozzi Machine Tool group, consisting of Ingersoll Machine Tools and Innse Berardi, has enacted a number of organizational changes, including appointing a new CEO to lead Ingersoll. The former CEO has taken on a new role within the group. The company says these moves are focused on bringing the power of Ingersoll and Innse into further strategic alignment to enable it to better serve its global customers.

Hwacheon Machinery America Adds Two New Distributors — Hwacheon Machinery America has named two new distributors to its growing dealer network — MachineTech and Numerequip Inc. MachineTech is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has over 35 years in the machine tool industry. Numerequip Inc. has been in business since 1978, providing advanced machining technology solutions to Ohio’s manufacturing industry for over 40 years.

Verisurf Software Names Nick Merrell Executive Vice President — Verisurf Software named Nick Merrell to serve as executive vice president. Merrell continues to lead the technical support team as he has since joining Versiurf in 2015. His added responsibilities include driving corporate vision and managing continuous improvement of Verisurf processes, products and people.

The 2022 awards will be presented on the main stage at IMTS on Sept. 13 as part of the Top Shops Conference.

PM Sister Brand Modern Machine Shop Names 2022 Top Shops Honorees — Modern Machine Shop has announced its 2022 Top Shops Honorees. Drawn from the annual Top Shops Survey, these honorees are said to represent the highest caliber of machining facilities. Each year, four standout shops are recognized for the Honors Program, one for each category the survey covers — Machining Technology, Shopfloor Processes & Practices, Business Strategies & Performance, and Human Resources. These shops are vetted by the editors of Modern Machine Shop and will be profiled in its September issue.
