Tower Metalworking Fluids’ Saf-T-Cool 4200 semisynthetic coolant is a high-performance bio-stable coolant that is especially formulated as a safe product with no hazards and is a pictogram-free SDS.
The coolant’s low-mist characteristics enable a safer working environment for machine operators. Saf-T-Cool 4200 uses advanced generation additive technology for outstanding surface finishes and tool life.
Its natural low foam characteristics make it compatible with today’s high-pressure, high-flow machining centers. Saf-T-Cool 4200 is multiyear, sump-life capable and forms very tight emulsions that are stable in greater than 600-ppm hard waters.
It is said the coolant has excellent corrosion protection for ferrous and nonferrous metals, is cast iron rust-free at 2% concentration and utilizes state-of-the-art ingredients to provide long sump life without the use of tank side additives. Saf-T-Cool 4200 also eliminates foul odors.
The coolant is formulated to quickly reject excess tramp oils for easy removal. Saf-T-Cool 4200 incorporates Tower’s Clean Fluid Technology which enables the fluid to constantly clean the machine as it runs, eliminating any sticky residues and leaving a very light protective film on the machine surfaces.

Why Are We Writing About a Shop Making Custom Baseball Bats?
I recently learned about a 153-year-old manufacturer that has produced billions upon billions of precision, metal pins which started another business making one-off wooden baseball bats. (Like I asked it to do for me and you’ll see at this year’s Precision Machining Technology Show). Here I explain why it’s worth the time to read that article.
